Hi Scotty, Love what you're doing in the web of choice.

i have a 2017 Tacoma, which i love to pieces. im always looking for ways to keep her strong and healthy.  I'd love to hear your thoughts on installing a J&L oil seperator 3.0. Is it worth the cost ($159) or just a pretty snake oil can?

Nah.

Toyota's don't need em. The port injection will keep things clean enough.

The Tacoma’s stock oil separator in the PCV system already does a good job - very little oil vapor gets into the intake manifold.

It’s not snake oil, it’s just not the most useful addition to an old school Toyota.

Especially if you have the stock 2.7 those engines aren’t those nasty turbos with GDI, the stock engine uses almost the same exact design as the 1989 Toyota HiAce Van, or the 1995 Tacoma.

Save your money.  You don’t need it on that engine.
