Hey guys. DO you think 1.5 tons is safe enough to jack up 1 wheel at a time on my 2001 buick parka venue? harbor freights got them for 89 bucks this weekend.

I wouldn't recommend it.  "Safe" and "Effective" are two different things. You should use a 2 ton for a heavy car like that.

there's a reason that jack is so cheap ... it won't last.

I have one of those jacks. I use it to lift my riding lawn mower when I work on it. Not suitable for a large car, sketchy even for a smaller one.
