Hey Scotty!
I got a 2012 Honda Civic Si with over 224k miles. The car runs well and is still getting up to 33 mpg on the highway! About 50% of the time when switching within the first 3 gears I get a pretty hard jerk back-and-forth after I engage the clutch and you can see the rpm do the same even when I try to be delicate. In the higher gears, you really don't feel it.
Some More info on the car, when taking off from a stop the car jutters when I don't add enough gas, after that it drives just fine. I did have a P2127 code pop up about 600 miles ago, I cleared it and it hasn't come back since.
What could be the issue for the hard back-and-forth jerks?
I will admit that I am new to driving a car with a manual transmission, having about 5k miles under my belt. Could it just be that I need more time driving around?
Thanks!
It may be that you just need more practice. Or, your clutch may be slipping a bit.
