Hey scotty I just bought a 2011 Ford Taurus SHO, it has 45,000km's on it, the first owner took really good care, he's 65 and it still looks brand new, but all the fluids (except engine oil) has never been changed, would you change all the fluids, as they are low mile's but 10 years old?? Steve from Alberta Canada
45,000 km is just under 28,000 miles for those of us in the States. I would change them, and then from that point onward stay on top of the fluid changes to extend the life of the vehicle as much as possible.
I am not Scotty sorry, but first thing you could do is look in the owner's manual for service intervals. It might be in a "maintenance" or "service" section. Some manuals tell you exactly what to change after x km and/or x months.
change the coolant, and have a mechanic test the brake fluid with a moisture meter.
