Recently bought a 2013 Lexus RX350 (130 000km) from local toyota dealership in Alberta, Canada. The first time I turned on the fog lights a outside warning chime sounded. The lights work but it continues to chime until fog light lights are turned off. I'm contacting the dealer. Any Ideas?
Never heard of such a thing. Maybe an audible alert for critters (deer, etc.) that might be in or along the road?
Demand that the dealer fix this. Do you have any kind of warranty from this stealership?
It’s out of warranty and car may have been solved “As Is”.
He said he bought recently. I thought maybe the stealership had some kind of warranty.
Some people put deer deterrents (which don't work) on their cars.
As others have said, trying going back to the dealer and ask nicely if they can help you. (you can also check your sales paperwork about guarantees that might have been part of the contract).
Other than that, I would say follow the sound with your ears until you find the culprit, and then snip-snip with some wire cutters. That's what I did with mine when it came with a reverse alarm.
