My 2014 Toyota Tacoma is the single cab base model with no foglights. Is there a way to add this feature?
Very easy just go to Amazon and buy a kit I put them on my 2007 matrix it cost me less than 50 bucks for the kit with the wiring the bulbs the assemblies everything
- Find fog lights
- Figure out how the light in your car works
- Find a good place to install (recommend getting good bracketry and not just a whole lot of zipties)
- If you decided to wire it direct to battery, make sure to add a flip switch that you can toggle from the inside of the car so it doesn't just drain the battery from being on all the time
- Double measure wire length and leave a little extra just in case and wire everything together, feed it along harness lines and make sure it's all out of the way of moving components.
- Connect everything as you feel suited to (don't be that guy that just has wires over the engine for no reason)
- Install lights and tuck everything to it's final resting spot and tie up any loose ends
- Clean up. Congrats.
It shouldn't be that hard. Sometimes the wires might even be there. All you would have to do is connect and add a switch.
Will I need to add a relay somewhere also?
Yes you will.
Where do I put it? And How do I attach it to all the wiring? Ive never done this work before
I could not get the linknto show but there are good videos on Google that show step by step what to do. If you don't feel comfortable after watching it I would not take on the project. You don't want to have electrical problems.
I bought a 2014 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Base Model with the 2.7l i4 engine. With the trim level its currently at, it does not come with foglights. How easy would it be for me to install some myself? there are designated spots on the bumper to install them if i so choose.
My 2014 Tacoma single cab 4x4 base model does not come from the factory with foglights. I want to install them. Can anyone give me some guidance how how to do that?
