Ford and Chevy trucks

What is your opinion of the 2020 to 2023 Ford and Chevy trucks?

Reliability, things to keep an eye out for on used models, durability, things that constantly break down, etc.

I would love to just buy a used Toyota truck but I'm not sure if I can afford it (or should I look at the cheaper option of a Nissan truck).

I taken decent care of whatever vehicles I own and usually keep them til they die.

Thank you sir

Unless they're heavy-duty trucks, anymore, both of them are basically worthless for consumer grade trucks. They're cheaply made and Ford had recalls for the joint GM-Ford 10-speed automatic. Toyota is the best bet. Nissan isn't a bad truck, as long as you're talking older Nissans. The new ones probably don't hold up over time, either. I say get the Toyota. It will take you a lot further per dollar spent.

We’ve beaten this topic to death on this forum over the years, but stay away from Ford and GM (and FCA) trucks especially if you are the type that intends to keep their vehicle until the wheels fall off.

All crap GM was good until about the turn of the century and Ford was pretty good until they switched from the V8 to the turbo v6s

I personally would recommend an older Ford if you can't afford Toyota just do some research cuz some of them are great and some of them had lots of problems

Are you looking for truck, or are you look for a truck ?

By that I mean is this going to be a hard working vehicle that does a lot of hauling, or are you a driver that just likes trucks for their looks?
