Checked the door drain ports at the bottom of the doors 2014 Ford Flex, appear to have plastic "plugs" in them?  Where these put int o keep paint from clogging up the ports during production and were supposed to be removed,?  Should I pop them out???  Another example of "Quality is job GONE"? 🤣🤣🤣

I wouldn't think enough paint would be applied to the metal door to make any difference. You're taking like a quarter of an inch, and paint jobs are measured in a few microns, lol. I would think it was basically the equivalent of Scotty's "stupid beauty cover" on the engine. I could be wrong, though. Does it retain water if it's not removed? Try it.

Is the center portion of that plug a flap that opens up?

I can't see where this is exactly. A zoomed out shot would help.

well there's paint underneath it, so this piece was put in after painting.

if everything work fine, then probably not. It might not even be a plug.

In fact it looks like it has spacers behind it, specifically to create a gap.

Is there any water backed up behind it?
