Hi I hope you can help me, I got a Ford econoline E-250 cranks but won’t start unless I use starting fluid, I already replaced this parts suggested by various mechanics Fuel pump assembly, fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, and I bought a new charge air temperature sensor and a new coolant temperature sensor I haven’t replaced them yet because it looks like the former owner already replaced those so before keep buying and replacing more parts what do you suggest? It’s important to note that if I use starting fluid the car starts and the accelerator doesn’t work properly, when I push the pedal doesn’t rev up but if I wait until the temperature gauge reaches normal operating temperature then everything works just as expected thank you

If the engine starts with staring fluid for a few seconds and dies, you probably have a fuel system problem.  I would consider replacing the injectors, since they are now 28 years old.  You said you replaced the fuel pump and filter.
