2008 ford escape xlt v6, 200 thousand km on it. ONLY in the morning while I’m driving my dash board shuts off, the speed goes to 0, rpm’s goes to 0, the radio/music shuts off, all that for about 6 seconds then everything comes on. This happens while I’m driving
What happens if you firmly smack the dash in a few places above the cluster while it's malfunctioning?
Does it come back?
That would point to a wiring connector problem or a bad solder joint on the cluster PCB
It shuts off for like 5 seconds I don’t really have time to knock on it but I will try next time it happens. I heard the alternator could be a cause and also the battery is that true?
