I have a 2004 Ford Expedition when I put in drive it won't move until I rev up my engine rpms to around 3400. Then it slams into gear and drives normal until you completely stop at a stop sign then you gotta repeat the process. Reverse works fine changed fluid filter and added in lucas still same problem it's a 4r75w transmission. What could be the malfunction?

Jenna that makes transmission is just going out either rebuild it or get another car those are money pits when they get to be that old
