Hello everyone,

I've been searching for an answer about does the mechanical and electrical spare parts of the 2007-2010 ford explorer are compatible on the explorer sport trac without issues? While both have same HP and TQ, but do they differ in some mechanical and electrical components and they how work? Long time ago I read on a different website that the first-gen sport trac is different when it comes to electric stuff, but I'm searching if the second-gen has the same thing or did Ford decided to make the explorer and explorer sport trac same in everything until it was discontinued?

Best regards.

Well they are extremely similar vehicles. But depending on which extra features the sport has, there can be parts that will not be compatible with the software in the car. Everything on one will bolt on the other but you'd have to have the same wiring and software too

Thank you Mr.Kilmer! I'm looking to buy second-gen sport trac for better comfort and availability of auto parts. That's why I asked if they both vehicles match in everything and could use the suv parts like for engine and transmission if they are available.
