Have a 2001 Ford Explorer with a 5.0 with 228,000 miles. I got it after my dad died & he ran 20/50 in it. Only leak I can find is the rear main & it’s just a minor dribble. Ford specifies 5/30 in the manual, should I drop to a lighter weight or keep running it like it is. No unusual noises & doesn’t burn any. Minor valve train noise on startup when it’s cold out. Live in NC so winters aren’t terrible.
Thanks

Follow the cars manual re oil.....
Regarding the rear main seal, change the oil and drop in a bottle of ATP 205 reseal and drive the car on the highway for about an hour, this should help bring the seal back to life and prevent any additional leakage.
