Hello everybody! Writing from Colombia in South America! I have a question regarding my Ford Explorer XLT 4.0 SOHC 05 and I have some questions about some issues. Issue No 1 is when I bought it it had only 70.000 miles and the previous owner was using 10W30 so not sure if it's safe to go back to 5W30. No.2 When I had the oil changed, it seemed the gas filter had never been changed. We took it out and it was all dirty and clogged. We put the OEM Motorcraft but then the Fuel Rail Pressure code came on. My question is why was the "Service Engine Soon" light off when the filter was clogged?

what is the code?
Maybe your fuel pump is failing due to the blockage.
