I have a 2014 Ford Fiesta (5spd manual) with 168000 miles. Once every few months or so a few minutes into driving the service transmission light comes on and the engine drops way below idle (300 rpm) and bounces up to 1800 rpm and keeps doing that until I turn off the car for a couple minutes, then it works like nothing happens. Taken it in and mechanic says they of course can't replicate the problem and it doesn't throw codes. Any help would be great thanks.

Thanks for the reply, I did try that about a year ago, but the problem persists
