Hi Scotty

I purchased my car about 3 weeks ago, with the help of my husband who inspected engine.  it drove fine on test drive and seller stated car had no problems, which I believed.  But the next day it was hard to start, have to turn key twice and it intermittently idles roughly.  Took to mechanic and codes were P0113, P1000, P0054, P0102, P1408, P1708, B2232, B1318,U1900.  Im from New Zealand and am in Mexico so had to translate all these.  The mechanic said that it was only the MAF sensor and the car had an oil leak which was coming from timing chain cover.  He sealed the timing chain and did an oil change and I installed new air filter system and new MAF sensor.  After air filter and sensor change, it started up first go and idled great but then stalled and is running rough again.  The engine is also now making a ticking noise since he did the work.  I really dont  know what to do next.  Please help>

Well I start with a new mechanic and if the guy said the other guy screwed work I'll get your money back from him the engine shouldn't tick when it didn't tick before. Just realized those focuses are extremely cheap they made vehicles and they generally tend to fall apart when they're that old especially the automatic transmissions and engine head gaskets
