Hi guys I am thinking to buy a old Ford ranger I just wanted to ask which engine option should I chose the 3.0 v6 Vulcan or the 4.0 v6. I am not gonna be towing I just need a truck to haul some stuff. Which engine would be more trouble free? I can’t buy used a Tacoma because there prices are too frickin high.

I have a '99 with the 3.0L Vulcan. They are dogs and don't get the best gas mileage, but they are solid motors if you do the most basic maintenance. Mine has 267k and starts right up. No oil or coolant burning, etc. I get roughly 17.5 MPG in my 4×4 Off-Road.
