Hello,
We have 2019 F-150 5.0 4wd with no oil consumption after Ford service TSB and running great at 11,000 miles. The vehicle is usually run in short trips under light loads with occasional Over landing and off roading trips under the payload capacity. As this should be the keeper truck for the next decade or more, would you recommend adding a oil catch can?
"As this should be the keeper truck for the next decade."
I recommend adding a Bible and a lot of prayers then. Never mind a catch can.
Lol
Mod Man is also Funny Man - good one.
Lol well I went through hell with my 2018 F150. Hopefully you'll have a better experience.
Not for the 5.0 I don’t see a need. It’s more for the GDI motors. And even if you put one on and say that motor did start sucking oil (not saying it’s going to) it was just a waste of money.
The Coyote 5.0 has both port and direct injection (as of 2018+) so you don’t need a catch can.
Thanks guys
Guess the valves should be clean with the dual injection, I'll likely give this one a pass.
