Hello everyone,
Me and my friend like different domestic car brands. He likes General Motors products and I like Ford Motor Company. I was wondering who makes the most reliable vehicles and in which category, (cars, trucks, SUV's, etc.), do they do best and which they do worst. I also would like to have Mopar vehicles ranked as well. I also would like to know when each brand stopped being reliable. We both agree that Toyota is more reliable but would like to know which is the best domestic car brand. We would also like to know what are the most reliable vehicles from each manufacturer.

The domestics seem to be getting out of the small car market. The japanese are dominating that segment. Back home it's all about trucks and SUVs.

Overall, I think Ford is the best out of the Big 3 - but, I'm not super familiar with these brands since I've never owned any of them. Here are the best cars from each brand, in my opinion:
Ford: Mustang, F-series trucks
FCA: any car with the Hellcat V8 (Jeep Trackhawk, Challenger & Charger Hellcat, Durango Hellcat)
GM: Camaro (with V8), Silverado HD
If I was shopping for an American car, I should for sure get the Mustang Shelby GT350! (but the Hellcats are also super cool)
Hi, I would have to agree with you on everything for your opinion. I also would get the Mustang Shelby GT350. The new one is my dream car.
Ok. Newer GM cars like the Cruze and Impala are cheaply made low quality piles of junk. The Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta failed miserably. Since about 2010 the japanese have been dominant in the car segment. Before that however, the mid-late 2000s Taurus Fusion V8Explorers were actually not that bad. Buick also made some good cars like the Park Avenue. When it comes to domestic trucks, the V8 F-150 dominates by far over the junky Chevy trucks, especially the newer ones.
Dodge unfortunetly could no longer be considered domestic because literally all their cars are Italian. Engine transmission design quality is all Fiat. This goes for Fiat Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep.
