Hey Scotty,

My buddy's gifting me his old Mustang, a 2006 automatic V6 with 70'000 miles on the clock, it's been drivin hard and looks to have a blown head gasket (White smoke coming out of the exhaust) my question is, would it be worth fixing up, what would it take to do the repair myself? Alternatively, what would a repair like that cost at a shop?

I am not scotty but I would say take it free.

Could be as simple as the pcv value is not working to a full engine rebuild.

Never look a gift horse in the mouth, as Scotty would say.

Why not try some head gasket sealer from Bar's?

Hey, if you don't want it - I'll take it. 🙂

Also, you say it's a GT with a V6. I could be wrong about "newer" gen mustangs but I thought GT's only had V8s.
