Hey scotty I have a 1988 560SL rwd benz I have crappy tires right now and I dont have space to keep winter tires. Are Michelin defenders great for all season or Yokohamas ? My car skidded in the rain 2 times. I live in nyc and we get snow here what do you recommend for all season tires.
Snow tyres are called winter tyres and are made for the snow and ice. They are design to actually pack snow in the thread as snow on ice grips well
But they perform bad in the dry and wet.
In the wet it best to use a good summer tyre
Michelin defenders are great, as well as the Latitudes. I can't speak for Yokohamas, never dealt with them.
Toyo Extensas are also really good all season tires.

How are Bridgestone Blizzak ? I heard they become all season tires after the snow threads wear out .
