My dad owns a 2012 Peugeot 408 2.0 with around 106000 miles on it.
My curiosity here is it barely has issues which plague these EU manufacturers (which is weird because EU manufacturers always have unreliable cars) with the exception of a few years ago when it had a few intermittent minor issues like the ABS sensor which broke from time to time but hasn't been acting up for the past few years.
What do you think of French manufacturers? Can they really make cars reliable as time goes on? Or is it just the way it is?
Thanks
From the Dauphine to the Alliance, French cars have never held up well under U.S. driving and ownership conditions. They've not been sold here in decades aside from some stealth entries through Nissan.
Peugeots are now Dutch. So are Citroens.
Bugatti is now German.
Renault is still headquartered near Paris but they are manufactured all over the place.
