Hey Scotty, I love your channel. I really get a lot of information out of your videos. I was wondering if you could do a video on how to read more expensive scan tool like what are all the abbreviations and what do the numbers mean? I have a hard time reading them and understanding what they mean you know just the main ones that you need to figure out stuff. Mainly how to read it to find where the problem is you know. But anything would be helpful and maybe you’ve already done a video on that I didn’t research it first.

that's a huge topic that can barely be scratched in one video.

I'd suggest starting small. Pick one area that you want to learn about. "fuel trims" for example. Go to Scotty's youtube channel and enter the keywords into search. Scotty will undoubtedly pull out his diagnostic tool and talk about what it shows. There are also books on the topic. Keep in mind you need to have some mechanical background or none of the terms will make any sense and you won't know what the different parts do.

Run the auto-scan. Read the red items and trouble codes.

Scotty did a video on that already.  Look under FAQ in our Scan Tool Page and scroll down to the tutorial section.  Or just click here:
