Front Suspension Clunk - 2012 Toyota Corolla

Good Morning,

My Toyota Corolla has been making a clunking noise from the front left side of the vehicle whenever I encounter bumps in the road, I also notice it happens when either the front left or front right side encounter a bump, but the noise is generated from the front left.

I tried replacing the struts on both sides, but that did not fix the problem. I took one more look at the suspension to try and pry at different bushings and parts, but none of them have any visible wear or play in them.

Here's a video of the front suspension in case maybe I'm missing something, but I'm still not sure what could be causing the noise.

Suspension Overview

Thanks!

Maybe recheck those front stabilizer bar rubber bushings for wear.

If the one on the driver's side is deteriorated, it's going to make noise on that side even when the passenger side tire hits a bump.

When I pried at it with a bar, there was no play. Can it still have that issue even if there is none?

If there's no play and the rubber bushings also look ok then that's not the problem

Hmm, would there be anything that could be worn without showing?

How about the strut mounts?

I changed the whole strut assembly, so the strut mounts are new.

It's hard to tell looking a motionless vehicle. Somebody needs wiggle the wheels up and down, side to side, jounce the suspension up and down, etc.

If you get the vehicle up high enough then you can get a 2x4 under the wheels.

You should also test the motor/tranny mounts.
