Frontier water pump?

2006 Nissan Frontier 4wd 190k miles, automatic

Hello

Got this car recently, gas in my v8 chevy is too much. Trying to get a v6 daily driver going.

Been experiencing it getting a bit too hot at idle. Seen it go to about 110c after 20mins of sitting. Then shut it off.

But then as soon as I drive off, and go about 40mph for a few mins, temp starts to drop pretty quickly. Within a few mins went from 110c to like around 70 or 80c

Changed radiator, with a good used one. Same with clutch fan. And even installed radiator fans I took out of a 08 pontiac vibe.

I actually deleted the thermostat. Met someone with a frontier whose been driving a long time without one, had no issues

Does this sound like a water pump issue.

I do feel a lot of pressure on top radiator hose feel the coolant shooting thru.

Top and bottom hoses are around same temp

I see no milky anything under oil cap or in rad or dipstick, also no white or blue smoke from back.

I guess middle of temp guage on this car is around 230f

Appreciate the help ty

if you truly care about fuel consumption, then don't do that. You need to stop "deleting" basic engine parts.

why did you think a fan out of a compact car was more suited for a truck then what was there?

I'd start with putting in the correct one, and make sure it runs.

it wouldn't shock me if it was worn out after 20 years and 190k miles.
