Should I put regular gas in my Lexus

In your video titled “This stupid device just destroyed my car and I’m mad as hell”

At approximately 11:19 minute of it, you’re saying that it doesn’t matter if you fill up your wife’s Lexus with premium. So you’re saying that I shouldn’t bother about pumping my wife’s 2010 Lexus RX450h with 155k miles ( I know you’re not fond of hybrids) with premium gasoline and should just switch to plain regular 87 with no potential knocking issues in the future?

Follow the required gasoline recommended in the owner’s manual.  Even though the ECU should compensate for a lower grade of fuel, it’s also possible you may get some knocking.

.

Before I knew about cars, I used to put 87 in my 91-required 2000 Acura Integra and it knocked.  Once I went back to 91 no more knocking.

.

Now, before I research/buy any car I check to see what fuel is required, which factors strongly into my decision making.  You want a performance car or a luxury car, you have to be able to afford the maintenance/repairs/premium gasoline most of those vehicles require.

Since Scotty regularly renames his videos, it's good to post the video you are reffering to.
