Hello, I recently got as a gift a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe 4dr GLS 2WD Auto 2.7L V6 with 230K miles. The car has a gas leak. Should I just epoxy it or go for the full replacement? if so, where I can get a fuel tank replacement some place have them for $600 plus, can't afford it. Thank you.

Get a new one.  Shop around.

You could always get a good used fuel tank from a junkyard if a new one is too expensive.

That vehicle was built at a time prior to many of the problems that today's Hyundais suffer from, but still it's almost 20 years old with high mileage so expect it to need some TLC. (I have a friend with the same year and model.)

If you don't know how old the timing belt is, it and the water pump should be replaced ASAP. That's an interference engine and if the belt fails the engine will self-destruct. (The water pump is driven by the timing belt so if that seizes up the belt will snap and it's goodbye engine.)

It depends how serious the leak is. I repaired the leak on metal saddle fuel tank on 2002 Suzuki Swift using the liquid metal.
