I want to take a moment and tell you about a new-to-me type service in my town- a fully mobile independent tire repair shop! The other day I was contending with a flat tire on my mom's Genesis. When Genesis Roadside Assistance never showed up to tow the car to get the tire fixed, I saw online about a fully mobile tire shop.
He came out, determined the tire was unfixable as the hole was in the sidewall, and came back the next day with a brand. new Michelin tire. He removed the old tire, mounted it, and balanced it right in his van- without me ever leaving my house!
Anyone else hear of a service like this?www.jdoonmobiletires.com
Yes mobile mechanics are not new. They could be fine for small repairs like this. But obviously not having a lift and access to a shop full of equipment and tools, they will be limited at what they can do. Also beware as there are plenty of hacks out there posing as "mobile mechanics" and preying on people who are stuck. They'll mess your car up and disappear forever, so it might be prudent to look for licenses and accreditation beforehand.
@imperator I was very impressed with him would rate him 10 out of 5 stars he's just a little bit more expensive but you get what you pay for no questions asked
