Any thoughts on owning a full size truck with a smaller engine than their v8 counterparts? I was looking at midsize trucks and stumbled on a 2018 Chevy Silverado with a 4.3L v6 didn’t think they made Silverado’s with a v6. I saw Scotty’s video on the f150 ecoboost still in my mind but can’t decide on a midsize truck or a full size with a v6. I need a truck for light towing and work but also as a daily driver for me to go to school when I’m not working.
Get the full size with V6 and stay away from those ecoboost 4 cylinder engines if you want to keep the car for a long time.
I own a Tacoma SR5 Automatic 4WD W/4.0 V6 and love it! Do all kinds of light/middle load towing with no issues. Gas mileage is a consistent 19-21 range.
Like yaser said, stay away from any 4 cyl turbocharged engine in a full-sized pickup. I have a 2014 Toyota Tacoma with the 4.0L V6 and it does the job hauling medium and heavy loads from soil, rocks to engines.
