Fun, reliable, manual transmission car?

I'm looking for a fun and reliable car with a manual transmission. The car doesn't need to be fast maybe a lil quick but I can make some trade odds for the car just being dumb fun. I've heard the mazda 3 and civic are good options but what do you guys think. Any other suggestions anyone would have. When car prices hopefully come down again I would like to get a used car so that's why. Also nothing pretty expensive try to suggest cheap cars, all your suggestions are much appreciated.

Subaru Impreza and Outback are pretty fun manuals. Make sure if they have over 80k miles that the head gaskets were replaced.

Are you talking about 2011 before because from what I saw the new impreza isn't very fun. But the old generation I talked about is I heard.

Yeah pre-2011. I have an 01 Outback that’s a manual and it’s pretty fun. They’re not very expensive either usually less than 2500.

Mazda Miata man 🤙

Would you suggest the mazda 3 at all, the new ones are bit much for me I like the last generation and the other ones.

@jurkjared nope, Miata 100%.

@jurkjared the 3rd generation Mazda3 (model years 2013-2018) is fairly reliable. Those engines (Mazda’s own Skyactiv 2.0 and 2.5L naturally aspirated I4) and Skactiv manual have held up well. I could easily recommend them. Take a look for yourself:

The Miata uses the exact same engine and transmission as the Mazda3. BUT, I've herd of some issues with their manuals...

Thanks

Civic Si or Mazda Miata would be good.

I only worry about the si because I hear people beat the crap out of them, are parts cheap if anything does break.

Parts are available everywhere for those things. I wouldn't worry about costs unless you are talking about a Type R.

I was seeing a couple impreza gt's which are a less tuned wrx.
