Hello everyone! I just recently learned that government offers 4k tax credit on ev/plug in hybrids, so I started to wonder, Prius and Clarity is pretty expensive (around 25k) and in the other hand you can find fusion energy for around 15k. I looked online and there is no clear answer is they reliable or not , so I want to ask yours opinion.

thank you !

Scotty has generally advised against buying used hybrids due to their complexity, and in recent years Ford has had horrendous quality problems.

Will that tax credit be enough to offset the cost of expensive repairs that a used hybrid may wind up requiring?

If push came to shove, I'd rather own a used Toyota Prius than a Ford Fusion Energi. I'm pretty sure the Ford is made in Mexico. Toyota employs people in the US to build their cars. They're much a higher quality vehicle compared to that Fusion Energi. They also don't make Fusions, or Fusion Energi's anymore.
