Fuel Gauge reads empty on 2006 Dodge Ram

Hi Scotty. I replaced my fuel pump on my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7. Performance of fuel pump is great. My issue and question is my fuel pimp gauge reads empty and it is completely full and engine light is on. Tried to reset fuel gauge and goes back to engine light on and still reads empty. And one more thing when old fuel pump was working and the fuel gauge would take about 10-15 minutes to show correct gauge reading on gauge. Thank you Rich

Try replacing the gauge, it really shouldn't take that long.

You may have also gotten a defective unit as far as the tank level arm goes, I went through three pumps in one job. The copper plating on the unit is REALLY thin & just keeps getting thinner as aftermarket companies try to cheap out.
