Gas tank not filling up all the way on a nissan altima 2015 s . No codes on the car. How to go about checking the probelm.

Well it has to vent air and if it keeps shutting off the pump you're not venting air. So check the vent to see if the spider webs are rocks or mud stuck in the vent. That's just under where the cap screws in perhaps blow a little compressed air through there. If not that it's off in a bad evap canister assembly
