So I was just wondering, is the gauge that goes up i believe the rpm or whatever like the thing that starts at 0 and goes to 8, is that suppose to start at the zero when you turn your car on? Mines is at 1.

If you are referring to the tachometer, it should be at 1 or just under while idling. If the engine is cold it may idle a little higher than that.
The only time it should read zero is when you have zero "revolutions per minute", meaning the engine is off.
Most cars have an idle of around 750RPM's, so it would show just under the "1" as each number on the gauge is multiplied by 1,000. That's why you have that "x1000r/min" stamp under the top of the gauge on most cars.
Oh ok thank you very much
You're very welcome. Glad I could help.
