Are gdi engines unreliable because I bought a Hyundai and at this point I don’t care about their gdi engines and it seems every car dealer is getting that? What kind of engine do Toyota’s have?

GDI engines aren't bad engines. They are louder than their counterparts as seen in the Toyota RAV4. The benefit is you won't have carbon buildup. Comparing Hyundai / Kia to Toyota is like comparing apples and oranges.
Hyundai vehicles come with a thousand features, and they look great. But they aren't as reliable as Toyota ones. Hyundai's 100k miles warranty is also a trap people fall in. After 100k miles, good luck! Meanwhile, I've seen Toyotas that last well over 300k miles. I used to work with a guy who had 500k miles on his Sienna.
