I have a 2018 Kia Rio 1.6l , obviously, . 82000 miles and I drive 85% highway miles.
Recently at a state inspection the shop I was at suggested a GDI System cleaning. I have had no accelleration problems and my gas mileage is exactly what it should be. I do my oil changes on time with the 5w-20 as suggested by Kia.
Do I need this cleaning ? Is it a good preventive maintenance thing to do?

Your car has a GDI system and overtime, they tend to build up carbon. I would do the cleaning.
