I bought a large amount of gear of oil for the differential but I could not screw out the drain plug since the tool was a square one which I've never seen what kind is it? 01tahoeLT.

Square, like the most used mechanic's tool

Frequently those are the same size as common ratchet handle drives (3/8" or 1/2").

It's most likely not based on anything except a ratchet head. I use my 3/8" inch rather handle when I'm changing my differential fluid in my Ford Ranger. That's a compact truck, a Tahoe may be larger. There's not a dedicated opener, as far as I'm aware of.
