My 2017 sentra Sentra gear keeps getting stuck in park I’ve been having to use the emergency release button to get it out of park. It’s recently started to take a whining noise when I press the gas.

Referring to the System Description and the above wiring diagram the circuit is easily tested using just a test light.
Aside from a wiring issue, the 3 components are, the Stop Lamp Switch, the Shift Lock Solenoid, and the Park Position Switch.
With Key ON there must be Power on Pin 3 of the Stop Lamp Switch.
With the Brake Pedal depressed there must be Power on Pin 4 of the Stop Lamp Switch (if not then the Stop Lamp Switch is faulty).
Next, with the Brake Pedal depressed there must be Power on Pin 3 of the Shift Lock Solenoid.
Additionally there must be Ground Always on Pin 4 of the Park Position Switch.
With the Shift Lever in Park, the Park Position Switch is closed and provides Ground to the Ground wire of the Shift Lock Solenoid. (if not then the Park Position Switch is faulty).
I Included the wiring connector pinouts for the Stop Lamp Switch and the CVT Shift Selector if you want to backpin the relevant wire terminals and troubleshoot this with a test light
