Geo Storm GSI Exhaust

Hey Scotty, I drive a Canary Yellow 1991 Geo Storm GSI with an auto. I bought it with 22k miles on the car about 6 years ago and originally it only had 2 cylinders firing. I got that fixed by "the tech applying voltage to the main computer and a bunch of crud came out". The car runs great and never had a miss again (It is now up to 57k miles). However In the past 6 years ive had 3 catalytic converters put on the car and I've replaced every other part of the exhaust (aside from the exhaust manifold). There seems to be a lot of rust whenever I have to change them out. (im from WI) This year the car is in the garage now so I hope this changes but is there some action i can take to prevent my exhaust from going the way of the dodo again?

I got nothing to add to your exhaust question, but dang, what an awesome car! Don’t ever let that thing die.

Not really rust is rust once it starts can't stop it you can buy higher quality stainless steel exhaust but who's going to do that on that old thing

The only thing you could do would be to put a 304 grade stainless steel exhaust on it. But I wouldn't as it would cost more than the car is worth.

well i have since i bought the car for 3200 bucks. ive stuck about 2k into the car (including the exhaust work) so for 6 years of having the car as my daily driver ive spent less then 1k a year to drive.

Have the underbelly coated with New Hampshire Oil or Fluid Film, every fall.
