Buying my first Honda Civic

Hey, All I just wanted to know what should be my first ever Car (Honda Civic), I was kinda going for a 2017 Honda Type R (because its a good looking car and its for racing) but I don't know if I should even buy the type R because I also want a super reliable Honda. Just hoping I could get any suggestions here. (doesn't matter if its an automatic or a manual transmission, but has to be 2017 and up)

Thank You for your time.

If it’s going to be an everyday daily driver car, you are better off with the hatchback or sedan, not the Type R.

The Type R is built for speed and racing not for comfort. But if you are ok with that, then a Type R would be fine.

For the best reliability, look for a manual transmission.

If you can, try out a Type R, a manual, and a CVT and see which you like.

My only hesitation with buying a used Type R is that folks usually drive them hard, so make sure to have a mechanic check it out.

Unless of course you find one that was driven by a grandpa only on Sunday’s going to church.

2017+ Honda Civic LX or sport with a manual transmission would be a good choice. A type r would cost a lot of money to insure especially with a young teen driver.

Be sure to check the insurance before you buy!  But I would suggest a regular Honda Civic with the manual.

The Type-R as a teenager’s first car is a bad idea.

Get the regular Civic or at most, the Si.

Also, search ‘first car’ in the search box of this website.

Good luck & make sure you have the car inspected by a professional mechanic, before you buy it.

Consider a Honda Civic SI, or better yet just a regular Civic Sedan
