My grandson left me his 2002 Mercedes to sell 5 yrs ago as he went into the Army. Unable to sell the car as it has some front end damage. Finally decided to just give the car away. Called a Charity and they won’t take it as the title is in grandson’s name. Ant thoughts of what to do? Car still runs and drives.

You would have to get it titled in your name. That means filling out a title application for your state and also having your grandson sign off on both the application and title.
