Hello Scotty and the community how are you? 2001 Honda Civic LX 5-Speed transmission fluid is leaking. there's 2 areas its dripping fluid one is at the front of the car and the other one is where it drips on the exhaust resulting in a whif of a burning smell cause when I had the car running I looked under and saw where steam was coming from and it was dripping on the exhaust. My dad pumped a full bottle of Bar's Stop Leak so that its a temporary fix until I can get it to a mechanic next Friday since its payday. I don't drive it as much now since the stop leak is active and has in fact fixed the problem temporarily. I only drive to work but what's causing the leaks?

@chaseboy4
Do not drive unless it is to a mechanic shop. You driving can mean complete destruction of the transmission. Get it fixed now, not tomorrow.

I don't get paid till next Friday as I don't have enough to get it fixed

You likely have seals leaking. Try to drive it as little as possible to prevent damage. Sucks being between paydays I know.

Just make sure your fluid doesn't go totally dry.

@mod_man
True and thank you sir
