Hey Scotty love your videos,
What are your thoughts on this pretty idiotic move by GM, that I think it’s absolutely absurd. They’ve decided to shut down their Fort Wayne Indiana Plant where they make their Full Size pickups for “optimal dealer inventory” which I assume they’re doing to make an excuse to make profit. On the other hand, Ford which has been having Quality Control issues for the past year now has also shut down their plant where they make the F-150 lightning, but it was due to a fire occurring from one of the trucks in there. So ones doing it for pure capitalism, while another is trying to hoard and figure out all their issues together. What are your thoughts thanks

I read today that Ford has figured out the battery issue on the Lightning and I think GM is experiencing slow sales.
maybe we'll get a New New GM
an excuse to make profit
What else are you expecting?
pure capitalism
Without getting into politics - Trucks with 6.6L engines, safety and luxury - sure are!
For reference, My parents had a non capitalist LUXURY car - an AutoVaz Kopeika, 1.2L engine the camshaft lasted under 1,000 miles. Head rests, seat belts, being able to go over 60mph? not included in this Fiat ripoff.
In the 1960s AutoVaz bought a western (advanced FOR THE TIME) Fiat factory and brought it over for domestic production - in 50 years they didn't mange to improve anything, every single modification made it worse and worse!
The stated lifespan according to the official documents is 50,000 miles (that's before short block replacement would be required - but they didn't last that, not even close)
The less lucky select to be able to afford an automobile could order a Zaporozhets, only was a 5-6 year wait (not 10 like for the Kopeika) Either the 965
Or the 966 - THIS WAS MADE FROM THE MID 60s TO LATE 90s without any changes.
It was based on a pre WW2 Opel, but with whole 30 horsepower!
Friends parents also had a non capitalistic car - an AutoCars Sussita Karmel Duhas, the car actually broke, in half - it was a fireglass car.
That's not a 1950, not a 1960 - that pile of trash was 1980!
A pretty universal experience, reminds me of how the Trebant body had to be shaped into form with hummers for doors to close - that's the year 1990!
And that garbage was expensive! you could buy a Toyota Corolla for that much! even a camry!
Even after inflation (of 33 years) a Kia Picanto is still less (and those actually can go a while)
while another is trying to hoard and figure out all their issues together
Ford engineering is horrible, just get a Toyota.
