Hello Scotty! Hello everyone! I have got my 2006 Mitsubishi Colt CZ3 1.5l with 126.000km, Gasoline Engine, Manual Transmission ,  since 1 year, but I have a problem: Many times when I try to put the car in Reverse gear it either clunks hard or doesn't get in at all ( I have to release and press the clutch again some times until it finally enters in gear) , what could be the problem? Thank you in advance! Have a great day/night! 😀

Will it go into reverse more easily if you first put it in a forward gear? (That's regimen is I do with one of my cars that lacks a reverse gear synchronizer. Maybe your reverse synchro is worn.)

Hi! Thank you for your reply! Yes, I actually do that and about 70% of times when I first put it into forward gear and select Reverse gear afterwards, it goes in just fine, but there are still times when it just doesn't want to go in or makes that clunk noise.

Pretty much the same as my non-synchro trans. Sounds like you do have some wear going on. You could try changing the gear oil if that hasn't been done in a while to see if that helps.

Thanks!
