Hey Scotty one of my family members GMC terrain has 74,200 something miles has been over a year in the dealer and they still can't figure out what the heck is going on they been fighting to get their car back and any advice or shall he file a class action law suit the car doesn't blow any AC at all.
What does it tell you?
Presuming you are in the US, I'd look into something called "Lemon law" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemon_law
What state are you in?
it's a 2012 GMC terrain
So no warranty, right?
Take it to an independent mechanic with a good reputation.
It has
over a year in the dealer and they still can't figure out
You didn't say, but I assume you're going to the dealer because it's a warranty issue.
Are you sure it's because they don't know what's wrong. That would be very strange. It seems to me they could just replace the AC system. Take it to a different dealership.
Or is it taking so long because they're waiting for parts, and there aren't any available. That's a common problem right now.
fighting to get their car back
are they holding your car hostage?
shall he file a class action law suit
People don't launch class actions. Lawyers do. It's a for very big problems, involving thousands of affected customers, and they cost millions of dollars to undertake. I don't think your AC issue qualifies.
You didn't really explain the dealership's side of the story, but if they're being uncooperative then certainly you can take it to small claims or talk to a lawyer about other legal action if you really think it's worth your time and money , or you might be protected by lemon law (see Glen's reply).
All of my family members live in South Florida Miami and Hialeah and it's a 2012 GMC terrain
