Hi Scotty can you help my son and l with electric problem on a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Good morning Scotty my son has a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee mechanic and locksmith are saying that PCM or antenna in the steering column is bad bt will start for a few seconds then cut right off locksmith reprogramed key no success please help?
That is often a security problem in the anti-theft system and often it can be in the steering wheel column. Any decent mechanic can figure that out with their equipment doing bi-directional testing. If they can't tell you what's wrong without guessing they are idiots and find someone who really knows how to work on those. All modern cars are set up that way and if a mechanic can't figure it out, they should stop working on modern cars. Personally, the last one I fixed like that needed a new ignition switch and then had to be reprogrammed for the anti-theft system
