Hey I’m here because I’m kind of at a loss on what to do with my 4 cylinder 2007 mercury Milan with 10200 miles. It was the perfect car up until I started experiencing a rod knock due to the previous owner not maintaining the engine, so I ended up swapping the engine for an engine with 42000 miles on it but the mechanic sheared the tranny pump doing so, they replaced the pump (with a used pump) and the Solenoids but the car still shifts a little rough and slams into reverse. Is this car worth keeping especially after I just dropped 2k on a new engine (which runs beautifully), so ideally I’d like to keep it, do you know any remindies to this? I already checked the tranny fluid and it’s filled properly but I know automatic transmissions are a real pain to work on so I don’t know what to do, thank you in advance!
Oh dear, if I were you, I’d just live with it and not sink any more money into it.
How much longer will this car last me you think?
Since the engine is relatively new, just keep driving it. Who knows how long the thing might still keep going..

Awesome thank you!
You’re welcome & good luck!
