Car bought new, still daily driver. Happens once in 2-3 months, not a frequent problem. Only happens at highway speeds. Engine suddenly works harder and rattles, but accelerates and there is no need to stop or anything. Car drives as if nothing is occuring. After a few kilometres, the running of the engine returns to normal. No codes.
Mercedes-Benz GL 320 CDI 4-MATIC, 03/2007, 2.987 cm³ , 165 kw, 274 000 km.
Thanks for any similar experiences.

It sounds like one of the diesel fuel injectors might intermittently stop working and causing a dead cylinder. I'm not sure what else could cause a diesel engine to rattle while running.
