Has my engine suffered damage?

After driving about 50 kms on the highway going about 130 km/h; I took an exit to the nearest town to fill up.

There was a red light so I had to stop. I forgot my start/stop function is not disabled and my engine shut off. When the brake pedal is pressed; the engine starts again.

Now I never forget to turn it off. I am really mad at myself for forgetting to turn it off.

Has my engine suffered damage? I don't recognize any trouble.

2022 Škoda Fabia; 1.0 TSI; 81 kw; 6800 km.

No.

Once or even one thousand times, Stop-Start won't do anything to your engine.

ONLY over MANY years and MANY thousands of stop-start cycles it'll add wear.

but once? you're fine. lol.

No, harm done. You mightve gotten someone's attention beside you when they heard your car restart. I was driving my carbureted V8 the other day and a new Mercedes next to me did that. It got my attention because my window was down. Haha.

Forgetting once like you did is not going to cause any harm, but overtime repeatedly then, yes, there will be some wear.  But I am sure you won’t make that mistake.
