Just wanted your thoughts on sealing products added to the radiator if the head gasket is the problem?

A temporary bandaid at best that may not work at all. Might even plug up your cooling system.
Just wondering if I should try it? At this point the mechanic recommends replacing the engine. I will not spend the money for the engine... probably a 5K job.
If you are at the point where you can't replace the head gasket yourself, the car is not worth paying someone to fix it (you didn't tell us what car you have), and you have nothing to lose - Scotty has recommended the Bar's Leak head gasket product. He has mentioned in his videos that he's seen some success with it. However bear in mind that even if works it's TEMPORARY to get you by a little bit longer while you shop for another vehicle.
